When we sold our first company in 2018, we realized how much complexity exists in setting up, scaling, and ultimately exiting a business. The mathematics, the permutations, the uncertainty. It is rarely a straight line. What began as a pro bono project to help a few founders soon evolved into the foundation of a hands-on consulting firm.

We started by advising entrepreneurs one on one, then moved into selective investments. Local government relationships expanded into state and national networks. Over time, it became clear we were not just supporting startups; we could help larger companies, institutions, and even global universities scale with confidence.

As Steve Jobs once said, “The problem with so-called consultants is that they never stay around long enough to see the consequences of their recommendations.” We built KPI to be the opposite. We believe the real magic of strategy is revealed in the feedback loop after pilots launch. That is why, against conventional advice, we chose a deeply personalized model with skin in the game, fighting alongside our clients rather than advising from the sidelines.

Today, that philosophy is KPI Consulting Fund.

Instead of strategy as a final product, we treat it as a launchpad. Instead of static reports, we deliver active partnerships: consulting, building, and investing in the scale ventures we help scale.
